Sign Up
The best way to help is to sign up to tribute a victim of the attacks. Go visit the current list, and select a name. Then research the life of your victim. For most, this step won't be as difficult as you think--there's a lot of public information available. Then, on September 11 post your tribute to your own blog or website.
But most important is to remember their lives. Their deaths are common knowledge, but we shouldn't let it define who they were.
Join the Forum
There is a forum set up for people to talk about Project 2,996. There are plenty of discussions about how to do research, or get the word out. Or just shoot the breeze with others who find Project 2,996 important.

Web Developer?
Are you a web developer? Do you have some time to help? I'm gearing up to write a sign up application that will let people sign up, be assigned a victim's name, and let them add and edit information such as their blog location, permalink, etc.
I'm not a web developer, so I could certainly use some any help.

If you're thinking that this is a huge undertaking, you're right. But I think it's an important one. That's why I devoted over 1,000 hours to it last year.
